Doug M. (the cow that started it all)

A brief history

Like most brilliant ideas, such as the paper clip and the general theory of relativity, Draw A Cow was born of beer and pizza. What began as a discussion of the origins of certain cuts of beef quickly blossomed into a cow-drawing competition. The results were not pretty. Cows, we discovered, are not so easy to draw quickly, particularly if there's not one posing in front of you, and most particularly if you're on your second pitcher of beer.

As word of this art project/social experiment spread, more and more people joined the moo-vement (sorry) and started drawing cows. Soon enough there was a whole herd of bovine sketches.

Your turn. You think you know what a cow looks like, right? Try it. Draw a cow. Quickly. No cheating.

Then send us a scan or photo of your effort.
